Sixth Judicial Circuit Recognizes National Pro Bono Week

In recognition of National Pro Bono Week 2026, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee is supporting a coordinated series of community legal events designed to expand access to justice for residents of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Four events will take place across the Circuit on October 24 and 26, offering free legal advice, direct services, and connections to local resources. All events are open to the public and operate on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Community Law’s LawFest Workshop & Resource Fair will be held in St. Petersburg on October 24 at St. Petersburg College Midtown Center. Additional pro bono events on the same day include Advance Directives Clinics in Dade City and New Port Richey, hosted by community partners and local legal organizations. On October 26, the Clearwater community will have access to free legal assistance at a Community Legal Fair hosted at the Hispanic Outreach Center. Full event details, including times and locations, can be found at communitylawfest.org.

This year’s events are presented in honor of Theresa “Momma T” Lassiter, founder of the original LawFest, whose long‑standing commitment to serving the people of South St. Petersburg helped bring free legal services to the community for nearly fifteen years. The Pro Bono Committee is proud to continue this legacy by supporting accessible, community‑focused legal service opportunities.
