Court Operations During Emergencies

Although court facilities may be affected by hurricanes, severe weather, public safety incidents, or other emergencies, the Sixth Judicial Circuit works to maintain access to justice whenever possible.
Court operations, hearings, filings, and emergency matters may be modified during an emergency event. Updates regarding court closures, operational changes, and emergency procedures will be posted on this page as information becomes available.

The Circuit’s goal is to ensure that critical legal matters continue to be addressed while protecting the safety of court users, employees, and the public.

Emergency Court Operations

The Sixth Judicial Circuit has established procedures to help maintain court operations during emergency situations. These procedures provide guidance for court functions, emergency hearings, public access, and continuity of operations.

Review the court’s emergency operations plan and continuity procedures.

Questions regarding court emergency preparedness may be directed to the Emergency Coordinating Officer.
