Retired Judge Myriam Irizarry Featured on TV as Part of Hispanic Heritage Month

CLEARWATER – Retired Pinellas County Judge Myriam Irizarry was featured on a segment on Bay News 9 on Oct. 9 as part of the station’s
recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

A longtime general counsel for the Pinellas Clerk of the Circuit Court, Judge Irizarry was appointed Pinellas County’s first female Hispanic judge
by then-Gov. Rick Scott in 2015. She served as a county criminal judge, as an acting circuit judge in Unified Family Court, and as a county
traffic judge who also handled violations of probation before she retired on Oct. 1, 2020.
