ALBERT CHARLES JOHNSON,
Petitioner,
vs. Appeal No.01-2360-CI-88A
STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY SAFETY & MOTOR VEHICLES,
Respondent.
____________________________________/
Upon consideration of the Petition for Writ of Certiorari filed in this Court on the above-styled cause, the Court finds that the Petition was filed on March 26, 2001, beyond thirty days from the rendition of the Order sought to be reviewed, entered February 21, 2001. As the Petition for Writ of Certiorari was not timely filed, the Court finds that it is without jurisdiction to review the merits of the Petitioner’s appeal. See Fla. R. App. P., Rule 9.100(a), (c)(2001); see also State of Florida, Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles v. Joannou, 353 So.2d 164 (Fla. 3d DCA 1977); State of Florida, Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles v. Adams, 338 So.2d 542 (Fla. 1st DCA 1976).
It is therefore
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that this Court strikes the Petition for Writ of Certiorari and the appeal is dismissed.
DONE AND ORDERED in Chambers, at Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida this ________ day of March 2001.
