ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 90-149 S1690149

RE: SIMPLIFIED DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE

WHEREAS, Chapter 90-269, Laws of Florida, provides for the shared jurisdiction of actions seeking simplified dissolution of marriage between the Circuit and County Courts, and

WHEREAS, this law becomes effective October 1, 1990, and

IN ORDER to ensure the timely and efficient disposition of simplified dissolutions of marriage filed within Pinellas County, Florida, it is

ORDERED:

1) That simplified dissolutions of marriage will be assigned to Circuit Civil Section 81N if filed north of Ulmerton Road, or 81S if filed south of Ulmerton Road. The Clerk shall, in accordance with law, schedule a final hearing on the petition for simplified dissolution of marriage on a calendar before the county court at the next available session.

2) That judges assigned to the county court civil bench shall preside on a rotation basis over a simplified dissolution of marriage mass calendar on a weekly basis. The schedule shall be provided by separate Order of this Court.

3) The Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court shall attend said hearings and shall prepare for the Court's signature all orders emanating therefrom.
