RE: ACCEPTING OF CREDIT CARDS TO POST BONDS

In order to promote the prompt and efficient administration of justice in all courts in Pinellas County, and

In order to make government services more convenient to the public under section 215.322, Florida Statutes, and

In accordance with Article V, section 2, Florida Constitution, Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215, and section 43.26, Florida Statutes,

IT IS ORDERED:

1. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Pinellas County Sheriff, as designated by

the Clerk under section 903.105(2), Florida Statutes, are authorized to accept credit card and debit card payments for criminal cash bail bonds in amounts up to and including $750.00.

2. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Sheriff are authorized to impose a

surcharge for such payments in accordance with Florida Statutes.

3. All fees and surcharges associated with payment by credit card or debit card shall

be borne by the person to whom the credit card or debit card is issued.

4. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Sheriff shall process such payments as cash

bonds.
