Technology Office
The Court Technology Office of the Administrative Office of the Courts is responsible for the security, planning, design, programming, implementation, support, and training for all court technology systems circuit-wide. The department’s staff of eighteen evaluates new technology for purchase, trains staff, develops custom applications, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and relocates equipment as needed. The department’s help desk handles approximately 7,000 service requests annually as well as providing “off-hour standby support”. This includes computers, communication, applications, audio, and video technology. This office also acts as the liaison to the Information Technology Departments in both Pasco and Pinellas counties and the Office of the State Courts Administrator.
Information Systems
The Court Technology Office supports a wide area network connecting the five court locations in Pasco and Pinellas counties. This network provides email, file sharing, internet access, case management system access, printer, and resource sharing to over five hundred personal computers circuit-wide in courtrooms, hearing rooms and offices. Technical assistance and training is provided on computer software, hardware, and many other systems including the judicial viewer and two different case management systems.
Courtroom Technology
The circuit has available, audio/visual equipment for the presentation of multimedia based evidence at all locations within the circuit. Each courtroom has a standardized installation of equipment consisting of high definition displays, document cameras, wireless laptop interfaces, and wireless presentation equipment. These systems allow litigants to present various forms of multimedia based documentation and evidence such as PowerPoint presentations, video depositions, electronic documents, security video and other multimedia based information in the courtrooms. All of the equipment is available at no charge on a first come, first served basis. Some systems and equipment will require training prior to usage, and training is available for all the equipment provided by the Sixth Judicial Circuit. Please communicate all training requests a minimum of 72 hours prior to the proceedings.

Videoconference Technology
The Video Operations section of the Court Technology Office provides circuit-wide design, maintenance, and support for advanced video conferencing technologies. Video conferencing technology used by the courts include both hardware (H323/SIP) and software based (Zoom, MS Teams) technology. The systems are available for remote testimony to any of the circuit’s 60 courtrooms. Use of this technology during trials can substantially reduce the expense for travel and lodging providing a cost saving for courts, taxpayers, and litigants.

*Wolfvision Cynap Core wireless presentation systems allow the users to wirelessly project electronic based evidence (I E. video, photos, sound clips, documents etc.) from most any device that has Apple Airplay, Chromecast or Miracast capability.
