Opinion 79-18
December 4, 1979
Dear Judge:
This is in response to your inquiry of September 24th, 1979, wherein you
inquired as to the propriety of serving on the Board of Directors of "The
High School in ________". Some delay was occasioned inasmuch as your
inquiry was directed to the former Chairman of this Committee. The High
School in _________ is a self-sustaining, non-sectarian educational institution,
the purpose of which is to foster study in ___________ by high school students.
Of the seven members of the Committee who responded to your inquiry, all were unanimous in the opinion that you could properly serve on the Board of Directors, so long as you did not engage in fund raising activities.
Yours truly,
James T. Carlisle, Chairman
