Opinion 75-32

Canon 4C, 5B(1), 5E, 5G

Dear Judge:

Reference is made to your letter of November 20, and my reply of November 24, 1975. Each member of the Committee has now responded to your request of November 20.

It is the unanimous opinion of the committee on Standards of Judicial Conduct that under the Code of Judicial Conduct it would be impermissible for you to accept an appointment as a member on the Statewide __________ Advocacy Committee (Chapter 75-48) as tendered by the Governor.

Therefore it is suggested that you decline the appointment tendered to you by Governor Askew.
