Opinion 81-3
February 24, 1981
Dear Judge:
This is in response to your inquiry of whether you may ethically teach business
law at a university for compensation. The Committee unanimously approved
this activity, as long as it does not interfere with your judicial duties.
As one member pointed out, preparation for class could conceivably interfere
with your duties.
Yours truly,
James T. Carlisle, Chairman
Committee on Standards of Conduct Governing Judges

Sid White, Clerk of the Supreme Court

Mrs. Linda H. Yates, Managing Editor, Florida Bar Journal
