RE: RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF JURY DISTRICTS AND GRAND JURY
FOR PASCO COUNTY

Pursuant to Administrative Order 76-62, jury districts were first established in Pasco County; and
The East Pasco Jury District and the West Pasco Jury District were previously created in Pasco County by voting precincts; and

Section 40.015, Fla. Stat., authorizes the Chief Judge, with the approval of a majority of the circuit court judges of the circuit, to create a jury district for each courthouse location from which persons to serve as jurors shall be selected in the manner presently provided by law; and

Effective January 1, 1998, the source from which the names of jurors are taken for jury service in Pasco County shall be the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle database whose address is in Pasco County; and

A majority of the circuit judges of the Sixth Judicial Circuit have determined that it is in the best interest of the residents of Pasco County that the East Pasco Jury District and the West Pasco Jury District heretofore created be retained. It is therefore,

ORDERED:

1.The East Pasco Jury District is re-established to consist of the following zip codes:

2.The West Pasco Jury District is re-established to consist of the following zip codes:

3.Jurors called to serve in the Pasco County Courthouse in Dade City, Florida shall
be selected from the East Pasco Jury District. Jurors called to serve in the West Pasco Judicial Center in New Port Richey, Florida shall be selected from the West Pasco Jury District.

4.The Grand Jury of Pasco County will be selected from the combined East Pasco
and West Pasco Jury Districts.

This Administrative Order shall become effective January 1, 1998, at which time Administrative Order PA-CIR-97-4 is hereby rescinded.
