RE:     TITLE IV-D CASES SUBSTITUTION OF COUNSEL

 

            Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, has been counsel of record for the Florida Department of Revenue in certain Title IV-D cases in Pinellas County.  Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, and the Office of the Attorney General jointly informed the Chief Judge that the Attorney General will provide representation for the Department of Revenue in all Title IV-D cases, pursuant to an agreement between the Attorney General, the Department of Revenue, and Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, effective July 1, 2011.  The Attorney General has requested that the Court authorize a substitution of counsel in all Title IV-D cases where Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, has been appointed.  The Department of Revenue and Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, have consented to the substitution of counsel in accordance with Rule of Judicial Administration 2.505(e).  Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, and representatives from the Attorney General and the Department of Revenue appeared for a hearing before the undersigned judge on July 7, 2011, case reference number AA96007CFANO.  Accordingly,

 

IT IS ORDERED:

 

            1.         Effective immediately upon entry of this Order, Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, is removed and the Office of the Attorney General is substituted as counsel of record in all cases in which Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire represented the Department of Revenue while exercising its authority pursuant to the provisions of Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 651, et. seq. in Pasco and Pinellas County.   

           

            2.         The Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pasco County and the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pinellas County are hereby ordered to amend the records in CJIS, JJIS, FACTS, and any other current or subsequent electronic docketing system to reflect the substitution of the Office of the Attorney General, for Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, (SPN 02644369) as counsel of record in the Attached list of Title IV-D cases where Steven Paul Johnson, Esquire, was counsel of record for the Department of Revenue.  The Attached list of cases is hereby incorporated and made a part of this Administrative Order.

 

3.         At the request of any party, a copy of this Order shall be filed in any action which has not reached final disposition or in which post-judgment proceedings are currently pending, or in closed cases which are reopened after this date by the Department of Revenue exercising its authority pursuant to the provisions of Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, 42 USC, §651, et seq.

 

4.         The Office of the Attorney General shall provide written notice of the substitution of counsel to each child support obligee and obligor in each case which has not reached final disposition or in which post-judgment proceedings are currently pending.

 

            Effective immediately, Administrative Orders 2009-050 PI-CIR, 2003-035 PA/PI-CIR, and  94-127 are hereby rescinded.
