ORDER NO. 2006-109 PA/PI-CIR
RE: MONTHLY REPORTS
Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215(b)(6) provides: “The chief judge may require the attendance of prosecutors, public defenders, clerks, bailiffs, and other officers of the courts, and may require from the clerks of the courts, sheriffs, or other officers of the courts periodic reports that the chief judge deems necessary.”
Pursuant to Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215, the Chief Judge has the authority to adopt administrative orders necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the court system.
In order to determine the future allocation of judicial resources, and in order to handle cases coming before the court in a more efficient manner, it is necessary to have additional information from the Public Defender. Therefore, it is
ORDERED:
When the Public Defender and the State Attorney have agreed to a bond reduction or have agreed to a plea, and the Public Defender is unable to get that case on a calendar for the change of plea or bond reduction within 3 business days, the Public Defender shall forthwith provide the case number and section number to the Pasco Administrative Judge for cases in Pasco County or to the Criminal Administrative Judge for cases in Pinellas County.
