RE: JURY SELECTION -
In accordance with Chapter 40, Florida Statutes; and
In order to provide an adequate number of jurors for service
in the courts of
ORDERED:
Jed Pittman, Clerk of the Circuit Court for
1. Cause the
approved jury selection system to be used each quarter for the random
selection of the names of persons
from the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle
database to serve as jurors
in the courts of
from which the names of persons
for jury service are to be drawn as required for the Courts in
2. Add to the
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle database the names
and addresses of eligible persons
who complete an Application for Jury Service and, permanently retain such
names in the database until no longer eligible for jury service.
3. Submit information
monthly about prospective jurors to the Florida Department
of Law Enforcement.
4. Request
prospective jurors selected for the specified service to complete
questionnaires as attached
in order to aid and shorten the voir dire examination in the trial cases before
the courts.

in the jury summons and questionnaire mailing information relative to
statutory disqualifications
in accordance with Section 40.013, Florida Statutes, and provide persons an
opportunity to request such statutory disqualification or excuse in writing.

persons whose jury service
has been postponed to a later date by the court.
