RE:     CIRCUIT CIVIL SECTIONS AND CASE ASSIGNMENT

            Local Rule 3 provides that cases shall be assigned to sections on an equal basis in a random and blind assignment system pursuant to the provisions of Administrative Order of the Chief Judge, it is therefore

            ORDERED:

            1. Except as otherwise provided herein, cases filed in which the address of the plaintiff’s attorney, or the address of the plaintiff in the case of a pro se filing, is north of Ulmerton Road, shall be assigned to a Clearwater Circuit Court Civil Section.  

            2. Except as otherwise provided herein, cases filed in which the address of the plaintiff’s attorney, or the address of the plaintiff in the case of a pro se filing, is south of Ulmerton Road, shall be assigned to a St. Petersburg Circuit Court Civil Section.

            3. Cases filed by counsel or pro se plaintiffs with out-of-county addresses shall be assigned to a St. Petersburg or Clearwater Circuit Court Civil Section based on the direction of the chief judge.

            4. Cases shall be assigned to Section 77 as directed by the Chief Judge.

            5. The chief judge may adjust the assignment of cases to balance the workload in the county without further modification of this order.

            Pinellas Administrative Order 96-104 is hereby rescinded.
