Whereas, the Criminal Justice Center
is approaching capacity, and
Whereas,
the court wishes to cooperate with the county and users of court facilities
in the development of future plans, and
Whereas,
representatives of
NOW THEREFORE, I David A. Demers, pursuant to the authority vested in me as Chief Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, under Rule 2.050(b)(2), Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, do hereby establish the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court Judicial Facility Planning and Management Committee to be comprised of the following persons:
Facility Coordinator,
Facility Coordinator,
Incoming Facility Coordinator,
Facility Coordinator,
Circuit Courts Administrator, Mr. J. William Lockhart, or his representative
State Attorney, The Honorable Bernie McCabe, or his representative
Public Defender, The Honorable Bob Dillinger, or his representative
Sheriff of Pinellas County, The Honorable Everett Rice, or his representative
Clerk of the
her representative
Pinellas County Administrator, Mr. Stephen Spratt, or his representative, and one
other
person to be appointed by him to represent
President of the

President of the

President of the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Bar Association, Robert Walker, or
his representative
President of the
Brent Armstrong, or his representative
The chief judge will serve as chair
of the committee.
The
Judicial Facility Planning and Management Committee is
charged with the following tasks:
(a)
Review the existing space used by the
judicial branch
(b) Determine how to proceed with analyzing the
need for future space, the type of
space needed and
the timeframe in which the space will be needed
(c) Determine what expertise is needed to conduct
planning for space needs and
recommend a method
to secure that expertise.
(d) Perform such other related functions as may
be requested by the chief judge.

Committee must formulate a recommended plan not later than
The Administrative Office of the Courts will be available to assist the group in the completion of the tasks outlined herein.
