INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHEDULING OF ALL HEARINGS
1.
Select a convenient date and time for your hearing or trial. Confirm availability of all opposing parties or attorneys.
2.
E-mail Anna, Judge Williams' Judicial Assistant, at aevlanti@jud6.org with the following information.
 
a.
Day of the week, date, time of requested hearing choice. Example: (Monday, July 6, 2007 @ 1:30pm)
 
b.
Style of case with complete citation number.
 
c.
Name and phone number of counsel for all parties.
 
d.
Name and return email address of person requesting hearing.
3
Confirmation/denial of calendar time will be sent back via email.
4.
Do NOT send notices of hearings until you have received email confirmation of the hearing.
Please Note
1.
Often the amount of time requested for a hearing is more or less than the time necessary for your hearing. The judge's office may confirm your hearing for a longer or shorter time than requested.
2.
The Court is required to schedule certain hearings on an emergency basis. Hearing time prior to or after that listed on the computer schedule is reserved for emergency hearings. 
3.
All jury trials and non-jury trials longer than 3 hours require a pre-trial conference.  
4.
After confirmation, kindly prepare and forward the original Notice of Hearing to the Clerk and send copies to all parties and this office.
5.
All pre-trial and trial orders shall be preapred by the Judge's office.

PreTrial and Trial Continuances

1.
A continuance MAY BE GRANTED if a stipulation for continuance is signed by all clients in addition to all counsel.
2.
If there is no stipulation, a motion may be mailed or faxed (10 pages maximum) to this office and a hearing should be scheduled.

Mediation

1.
Please email all requests for mediation to aevlanti@jud6.org and the Judicial Assistant will prepare the referral.
2.
Please be sure to include the case name, case number, all parties' addresses and all attorneys' names and addresses.

Uniform Motion Calendar (UMC)

Limited to 5 minute hearings with a maximum of 12 per hour
