Criminal Administration
The Criminal Administration Office of the Administrative Office of the Courts serves as a focal point of all offices headquartered in the Pinellas County Justice Center. This includes the Office of the State Attorney, the Office of the Public Defender, the Office of the Pinellas Clerk of the Circuit Court, Probation & Parole, Salvation Army, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, eight Circuit Judges, and six County Judges and their Judicial Assistants.
The Criminal Administration office staff is centrally located in the Pinellas County Justice Center. Calendars for all divisions of circuit and county court are printed and distributed by the five employees of this division. Some input for the calendars originates in this office, while some calendars compiled by other agencies are only printed and distributed.
Other types of calendars may be produced and distributed on demand as dictated by the requirements of judicial case management. During a one-month period in Fiscal Year 1998-1999, 103,016 pages of text were generated by the Criminal Administration Staff. This office also tracks major felony case assignments to assist the Criminal Administrative Judge in ensuring even distribution among the felony trial divisions.
